Horse Specific Chiropractic Care in FL

We offer a comprehensive equine chiropractic evaluation in FL before recommending treatment options. An equine evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of your horse's health, movement, and performance. We use this information to develop a personalized treatment plan for your horse.
Our goal is to help your horse overcome injuries, relieve pain and tension in the muscles and joints, increase mobility, and restore proper alignment of the spine.
Based on examination findings, a complete care plan will be created. After the initial adjustment, follow-up appointments will be scheduled, usually within a week of the initial treatment, and then further apart as any specific problems begin to resolve.
A typical visit is between 20 and 60 minutes.

- A gentle and stress-free visit
During the initial visit, we may ask to see the horse move at all gaits and perhaps even ridden.
Common FAQs
You can fill out the form on this page, email us or call us, although we recommend filling out the form or emailing us. This is because Dr. Carswell is usually treating patients and may be unable to answer the phone immediately.
We offer cold laser therapy, veterinary orthopedic manipulation (VOM), as well as evaluations for all types of animals.
The better question is, what can’t we work on? The answer is: not much. Severe traumas need emergency services, but once cleared we can work around the areas until they are healed enough to be worked on directly. Bone tumors cannot directly be worked on but they can be worked around if we think it will help quality of life. Open wounds, surgical incisions etc. need to heal first. Pre and post surgical cases respond great, and are usually up and about quicker than without the work!
Dr. Carswell is not a veterinarian, nor does she practice veterinary medicine. She is a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), certified in the VOM™ healing technologies. Dr. Carswell works with your veterinarian to develop a plan tailored specifically for your animal. Dr. Carswell also specializes in many other holistic modalities such as nutrition, muscle work, and acupressure.
