Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM™)
VOM™ is similar to chiropractic care and offers effective solutions.
Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM™) can help animals with chronic conditions like back pain, lameness, or arthritis. VOM is similar to chiropractic care and offers solutions for visible improvement in an animal's overall health and well-being.
VOM™ is an innovative technology that restores communication between the animal's brain and body, which triggers a natural healing response. The treatment involves specific points on their anatomy to realign structures beneath them back into normal alignment. If you need a better understanding of VOM, here is a website link.
Cold Laser Therapy For Your Dog
Cold laser therapy is an effective way to reduce pain and inflammation in your dog's body. It can help promote the healing of many body tissues.
Dr. Carswell uses a Class 3 laser which delivers a high dose of energy into your dog's tissue. Each treatment usually lasts under a minute per tissue site.
Cold Laser Therapy can help with:
- Surgical wound healing
- Improving nerve function and nerve regeneration
- Releasing painful trigger points
- Speed the healing of infections

Common FAQs
You can fill out the form on this page, email us or call us, although we recommend filling out the form or emailing us. This is because Dr. Carswell is usually treating patients and may be unable to answer the phone immediately.
We offer cold laser therapy, veterinary orthopedic manipulation (VOM), as well as evaluations for all types of animals.
The better question is, what can’t we work on? The answer is: not much. Severe traumas need emergency services, but once cleared we can work around the areas until they are healed enough to be worked on directly. Bone tumors cannot directly be worked on but they can be worked around if we think it will help quality of life. Open wounds, surgical incisions etc. need to heal first. Pre and post surgical cases respond great, and are usually up and about quicker than without the work!
